Knowing our body, learning how to take care of it and being able to react when an accident happens are very important skills for our daily lives. That’s why our 5th and 6th of primary students have participated in a workshop about First Aid and Advances in Medicine tutored by Martín, the school nurse, and Lucía, a guest nurse from the ICU unit in the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Vigo. They’ve had the chance, not only to learn about important advances in medicine that can improve our quality of life, but also to learn how to react and which steps to follow in case of an emergency. All of them enjoyed the experience and soaked up valuable knowledge for their everyday lives.
